Your household leads
Family size, expected income, the doctors you want to keep and the prescriptions you refill come first. Plan names show up afterwards, once there is something to measure them against.
One person behind the inbox, reading Affordable Care Act plans against the household you actually have.
Who you are writing to
I started YourACAPlan because the Marketplace hands people a long list and almost no help reading it. Plan names blur together, a low monthly price hides a bill sitting further down the year, and nothing on screen says which part matters for your family. So I answer messages myself, one household at a time, and I keep the explanation in words anyone can follow.
Nothing here runs on autopilot. When you write in, the note lands in my inbox and I read it through before replying. If your situation looks unusual to you, say so in the message, because that is usually the detail that decides which plan fits and which one quietly does not.
How I hold the line
These are the working rules I keep to on every plan review, whether you write in with a simple question or a household that has changed twice this season.
Family size, expected income, the doctors you want to keep and the prescriptions you refill come first. Plan names show up afterwards, once there is something to measure them against.
If a term needs a second sentence to make sense, you get the second sentence without having to ask for it. Nobody should need a glossary open to read their own coverage.
A premium, a deductible or a copay means very little on its own. I show you where each figure lands across a year of ordinary care, so the comparison is real rather than theoretical.
I explain and I recommend. Enrollment happens when you say it should, and if you want to think it over or pick something I did not suggest, that is a perfectly good answer.
It takes three short steps, and you set the pace. Nothing goes to an insurance carrier until you tell me it should.
Tell me who makes up your household, what you expect to earn this year and which doctors you already see.
I explain the ACA plans that fit, with the premium, the deductible and the network laid out for each one.
You choose the plan. I help you complete the enrollment form, line by line, so nothing on it gets missed.
The form takes a few minutes to fill in. Once it reaches me I go through the Affordable Care Act plans open to you and write back with what each one would mean across the year for your family.
